​Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne Pathogen is an OSHA mandated training program for individuals or companies who may have a reasonable or anticipated circumstance of
blood contact or other infectious pathogens as a result of performing their duties at work.

This course is recommended and/or mandated (but not limited to) for compliance:
  • Dentists, dental assistants, hygienists
  • Pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners (vaccine administrators)
  • Phlebotomists, Lab clinicians, medical testers
  • First responders, EMT/Paramedic, Fire, Law enforcement, correctional officers
  • Tattoo/body artists, bouncers, bodyguards
  • Athletic trainers, coaches, teachers
  • Housekeeping/Janitorial (regulated/environmental waste)

What is the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Assoc.) Bloodborne Pathogen Standard?
  • 29 CFR 1910.1030 pursuant to the 2000 Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act is a regulation that prescribes safeguards to protect workers.
